Sacred Space on Sacred Soil

The Retreat at Annandale is building a faith-integrated retreat center providing holistic care for ministry leaders, frontline caregivers, executive leaders experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, and emotional exhaustion.

A Permanent Home for Sacred Rest

For over two decades, our ecumenical retreats have been held in various locations providing a sanctuary for the weary and a path to spiritual renewal.
Now, the time has come to permanently bring these experiences home to the Annandale Ranch.

Our vision is to root this ministry in the very soil our family has stewarded since 1889. We are preparing to build a permanent sanctuary—designed in purposeful harmony with the Texas landscape. This is a significant undertaking that requires a new legacy of stewardship. We invite you to join in the journey with us as a founding partner. Your gift to our building fund is the seed money that will lay the foundation for this holy ground, ensuring that the peace we’ve shared in temporary spaces finds a forever home for generations to come.

We provide a sanctuary for hospitality and rest, inviting transformative encounters with Christ.

Our path to renewal includes spiritual direction, theological and ecological inquiry, somatic experiences, and shared community.

Why this, why now

Come as you are - weary, burned out, and welcome

Many who serve—pastors, nurses, doctors, social workers, and ministry leaders—live under constant demand. Over time, the cost can become spiritual fatigue, emotional exhaustion, and a nervous system that never truly rests.

The Retreat at Annandale exists to be a safe, faith-centered place where the weary can step away, be guided into restoration, and return to their calling with renewed strength.

What We Are Building

A permanent home for sacred rest

We are raising $10 million to establish a dedicated retreat and recovery center—intentionally designed for deep rest, guided renewal, and sustainable resilience. Every element of the space will support nervous system recovery, emotional healing, and spiritual renewal.

  • Structured mental health and burnout recovery programs

  • Trauma-informed care and restorative practices

  • Spiritual direction and faith-based renewal

  • Quiet, nature-centered spaces for reflection and deep rest

Who Is This For

For those who carry the greatest burdens

This center is designed for compassion-driven people — especially those who often have limited access to care themselves.

  • Pastors and ministry leaders

  • Doctors, nurses, and healthcare teams

  • Missionaries and worship leaders

  • Child Protective Services workers and social workers

  • Other compassion-driven professionals

The Annandale Way

Not escape—restoration that helps you return

This is not simply a place to get away. It is a guided recovery experience that weaves together quiet, community, Scripture, reflective rhythms, and evidence-informed care.
